the oba celebrates ontario band champions
As a legacy of our 20th Anniversary, we proudly announce our new Professional and Service Awards. These awards are designed to acknowledge the incredible contributions of Ontario band educators across the career spectrum and at all levels of instruction (i.e.: elementary and secondary), as well as band supporters whose efforts are critical to our collective success. A call for nominations will be announced each spring with a committee review of nominations in June. All awards will be conferred at the OBA Annual General Meeting in November.

Canadian band association AWARDS
ABOUT
The CBA awards are designed to recognize excellence in pedagogy, community building, performance, conducting, composing, and promotion of concert and jazz bands. These awards should supplement the work that each provincial chapter does by providing a national stage to acknowledge amateur and professional musicians, composers, directors, enthusiasts, and educators in all phases of their experience across our vast nation. A candidate may only be nominated for one award per year, and should the candidate not be selected, the nominators are encouraged to re-submit if they wish to have the candidate considered in a future year. All nomination packages must be complete to be considered.
NATIONAL BAND AWARD
Since 1976, this award has been presented to a CBA Member who has made an outstanding contribution to band across Canada.
